Misguided

Misguided

Every Sunday morning

I am surrounded by people

We follow, we move together

Placed in perfect unity

Today it was different

One person stood away

In the middle of the circle

Going in the opposite direction

Over and over she repositioned herself

Over and over she failed to be in the right spot

Yet she continued until the very end

But as soon as the classs was over

She ran to the instructor

Her face told the story

And she would never turn to class

Her embarrassment would give her away

At being exposed in front of everyone

But not for the reasons she thought

Everyone stared at her no due to get getting the movements wrong

But because she couldn’t take the hint she was going in the wrong direction

So like so many others too afraid to follow

She will never return and my Sunday will continue as usual
