High School

High School

High School never felt right

The walls couldn’t inspire me

The teachers faded from memory

High School never felt right

The overwhelming pressure

The eyes and gossip all around

Those years seemed so endless

Those years seemed so pointless

High School never leaves me

The people may have changed

The work maybe different

The location is not the same

High School lives on

In those moments at work

In the lunchroom all alone

In the locker room

High School lives on

But I know what to expect

But I know what to accept
