Climbing the mountain

Climbing the mountain

Do you fear being alone?

Tell me please gently

Let each word soak into my skin

As you list everything

Which held you back

How your dreams slowly faded

Without the a hand guide you

I want to understand

As someone who never held

Such fears in her heart

As someone ignorant

Perhaps a little naive

As someone who saw

The world at her fingertips

And never waited for others

To play catch up

As someone who believed

Anyone – male or female – should dream

As someone who believed

Anything is truly possible

So, do you fear being alone?

The hours between a smile

To travel into the unknown

Never knowing who is on the other side

Tell me gently

I want to understand
